The size of your avatars now can be a max of 300 height and 250 width! You must host the image on another site (like photobucket, imgur..etc) uploading the image will not let you do the 300x250

You can now retire your own characters. If there's a character you don't want to use anymore and wish to retire them do this:

Log into that character>Profile>Groups>"Join group" the Retired group - Please make sure you leave the group you were in so the only group you are part of is the retired one

Then go into your profile>settings>display group "retired"

*staff members will get the notification that your character is now retired so we can remove that character from the directory, pb list...etc*

The Site Rules have gotten an overhaul. For the most part all the material is the same with most of the changes being a reorganization. It is no longer a Caution 2.0 template and hopefully is easier to read and follow. The rules are also slightly shorter. Gasp! Roger made something shorter?! Yes and no. A full unabridged rule and RP guide is going to go up soon which will be optional supplemental reading, but the mandatory reading rule book is indeed shorter.

As far as actual changes go:

• The image limits were changed due to the board upgrade.
• The old "three strikes" punishment rule has been abolished and now the staff can be tyrannical or merciful depending on the offense and our moods.
• The site's rating has been changed from PG 13 to R since the ToS doesn't actually specify and because our content is already pretty mature. Don't take that as free license to go crazy though. We still have standards.
• The rule prohibiting PBs of characters under 13 years of age has been removed. If it's in the ToS then I didn't find it. We're not trafficking in pictures of children or anything, but if you have a young character then you can put their picture in your app and avatar. If you have a baby IRL then you can post pics and show him/her off to the site.
• The application password has changed from a simple code word you can copy from any other application to a unique one you can get only from reading the rules.

We now have new application templates for both characters and ships. They can be found here and here respectively.

All new characters must use the new application style. All members are free to convert their old applications to the new style if they so choose. However, NB the character application is not 100% finished and will undergo minor tweaking with spacing and formatting. Therefore, other than new characters, I would advise against using it for conversion until it is fully completed.

In addition to the staff members that worked on revising these applications, I would like to especially thank Jules and Edi for their contributions.

Finally, you will note the NPC app has not been touched yet. Revisions are planned there as well, but nothing has been done as of yet since it is rarely used and more pressing issues have taken precedence. Another announcement will follow when that application too is revised.
