Alright, moving out from Santo blah blah blah picking up Achilles blah blah but we're finally going to end the Episode with another Climax (like how Episode 1 ended with getting off Beaumonde with the cops looking for us, and the last episode ended with the raid on the Cobalt offices). Here's the basic mission for how this one goes down. We most likely won't be having an IC briefing beforehand so this will be it. Feel free to contribute, ask questions, suggest alternatives, etc.
As the last mission was stealthy and only included a portion of the crew, this one is going to be incredibly loud and include near everyone who wants to RP. That means you can shoot tons of people, can have them shoot back like crazy, etc. and not worry about the cops being called. There will be blood, preferably all enemy.
Alright, so eventually we learn from Corvey about another one of Lee's operations. In a remote arid area of Sweethome (a small moon of Elphame), there is a Cobalt base. The short version is that this is a weapon cache of all sorts of military grade equipment. It's all legally acquired because Cobalt is so tied to the Alliance and gets gov. military contracts and such. However, from this Cache, Marcus Lee sells these military goods to the Black Market. He naturally makes off with tons of money through this crooked operation. In the process, Lee also knows who the criminals are and he frequently goes back after them and with Cobalt takes down the same guys he sold guns to. So not only is he making money off of this but he's setting himself up for more victories in his official capacity (and reacquiring the guns to resell and repeat the process).
This is Lee's M.O. and it's basically what he did with the Tavares Syndicate (the one preceding Onas's Syndicate). The reason he gets away with it is because Lee is good at tying off loose ends. Anyone who would know Lee betrayed them typically gets killed in the subsequent raid thus leaving Lee's reputation clean both in the eyes of legitimate citizens as well as potential future criminals he can scam. Onas is one of the few people that survived such an encounter and this is the reason Lee still wants Onas dead.
Back to the mission... we're attacking this weapon cache. It's one of Lee's big money making operations, has tons of absolutely dirty men loyal to Lee, and because it's a gorram weapon cache. We're not taking prisoners here. The goal is to kill as many people as possible, take what goods we want, destroy the rest, and take whatever documents and such we can as evidence on the operation.
Now this is no small operation Cobalt is running here. It's even larger than the twenty plus guards we faced on Santo (though we bypassed many of them back there). We're talking about a company sized unit (i.e. over a hundred dudes) in a remote base presumably with all manner of defensive positions. Pretty much anyone who can fight is going to be going on the mission.
The Plan The important part
We split into three teams for this operation.
Team one stays on the Peerless. This is likely to only be about four or five people, mostly NPCs.
Team two is the "ground" team. We drop our complement of vehicles and they approach from a distance. I'm thinking five to six on this team spread across the hover mule and two mule bikes.
Team three is the dropship team. As the ground team makes contact so too does the dropship swoop in to hit with the other team.
As you can see, the above two teams are missing half the crew. Two mechanics and Charlie, as well as Ros, Gunn, Vitale or Des (at least one of you needs to be team two), and Achilles need to be split between the two teams. Pick which one you like. Team two can't be more than six people total which leaves six for the dropship (potentially taking up to eight if that becomes the favored team).
So yeah, once we hit the base the entire plan becomes a free-for-all. Everyone gets to be a badass in the battle. The current plan is for our assault to coincide with Casey (Sink/Sparrow's character) being there too so she will join the battle with us. Once we get tired of killing people or our RPed bodycount gets so high that they have to be out of guys by then, the battle will end. We loot the best stuff, find some intel, blow the place, and go back to the ship.
So... questions? Ideas? What team do you want to be on?

The Plan The important part
We split into three teams for this operation.
Team one stays on the Peerless. This is likely to only be about four or five people, mostly NPCs.
- Nate - Pilots the ship. Might do some fly-bys and totally devastate the Cobalt base with some close blasts from Peerless's four huge VTOL jet engines.
- Jericho - Copilots for Nate if needed, but primarily works as our eye-in-the-sky to coordinate with the ground teams e.g. "Ten bad guys are coming at you from the North-east."
- 1 Mechanic - Doesn't matter who but we should probably have at least one of them back on the ship in case things go wrong there.
- Esmay - Not a "shooter" at all so she's probably just sticking to the ship. Might help on the bridge a bit.
- Lewis - Optional to leave him back on the ship guarding Esmay (not that she needs to be guarded) and generally helping out if needed. We could alternatively take him on one of the teams even if he's less violent than he appears.
Team two is the "ground" team. We drop our complement of vehicles and they approach from a distance. I'm thinking five to six on this team spread across the hover mule and two mule bikes.
- Ollie - Driving the hovermule.
- Desmond or Vitale - In the hovermule with the minigun (probably still a WIP with all the attachments, but it's still a freaking minigun) probably best to be realistic with it and either mount it on the mule or at least stay close to keep your tons of ammo on the mule instead of your back.
- Lewis - If not on the Peerless he will be here.
Team three is the dropship team. As the ground team makes contact so too does the dropship swoop in to hit with the other team.
- Mitch - Piloting the dropship of course.
- Roger - Team three leader.
As you can see, the above two teams are missing half the crew. Two mechanics and Charlie, as well as Ros, Gunn, Vitale or Des (at least one of you needs to be team two), and Achilles need to be split between the two teams. Pick which one you like.
