One of the largest open spaces on the Peerless, the galley is at the heart of the ship with numerous rooms, hallways, and passages all opening onto it. The galley's main feature is the large table that could fit nearly the entire crew at a time for a meal. Around the perimeter of the room are various other pieces of furniture, but the table is the centerpiece whether it actually be meal time or not. The galley is the most probable place to "run into" someone else on the ship and thus people often find themselves sitting there to chat even just in groups of two or three. At the aft end of the galley is the kitchen, still a part of the larger room but partially separated by counter-tops. The kitchen itself is typically well stocked in cooking equipment, eating utensils, and of course food. What is not stored in the kitchen itself is directly behind it in the storeroom. Ship Layout
