[ Outfit] Esmay had been escorted to her room earlier that day, or evening, or night, whatever it was. She wasn't to sure what time of day it was at this point. It had been one big jumbled mess, though she hadn't admitted it to the doctor the drugs they had dosed her with effected her more then she wanted to let on to. She had been having spells of dizziness and nausea since then. She knew why though the dosage was more then should have been used on someone of her size. Had it not been for the fear of what would happen to her she would have fallen asleep from them. Now here she was on a new ship that she didn't even know what the name of it was. She knew that had told her, but she couldn't remember the name. Now for most people that wouldn't seem like something that big but for Esmay that was a frightening thought, she didn't forget things. She had take time after being dropped off in her room to write down everything she could remember. If she couldn't remember on he own she needed a way to keep track of things till her memory returned to normal. It had been about eight hours since she had been dropped off. Odds were they had figured she was sleeping by now but she couldn't bring herself to do so just yet. No she was no were near ready to drift off around them yet. Esmay stood at the door with her left ear against the cold steel listening for any noise outside the door. First a few seconds, then a few minutes passed, nothing. Esmay's hand moved to the door handle and slowly turned it with a squeak as it opened up. Esmay stepped in to the wide dimly lit hall. Her eyes had a bit of trouble adjusting to the lighting. "It's worse than I thought." She muttered to herself as she took her first steps down the hall. Esmay steps were less controlled then was normal for her. There was no doubt the medication was still effecting her all this time later. Finally she stepped around a corner only to see someone down the hall. She froze in place trying to figure out what to say at first. "I.. I was looking for.." Esmay let out a sigh and recollected herself. "I haven't eaten in.." She paused and thought about it a moment. "eighteen hours I think. Does this ship have a kitchen. I can cook for myself if that is alright."

Desmond had retired to engineering after their round with Corvey, engine four was supposedly running how he wanted it but he still wanted to run a few tests. Everything was indeed running perfectly and he was getting ready to head to the core and get some sleep in his hammock, he'd already been told he couldn't sleep in his bunk for once, people would be questioned about that when it wasn't late. Was Dez mad about being locked out of his room? Oh yes. Was he about to complain when this ship was not run in a democracy but a dictatorship? Hell no.
Desmond left the engine room and stretched, before hearing someone speak near by asking about the kitchen. Casting a glance to the side he saw that it was the new girl, he thought he'd heard something about her name being Esmay when he'd asked Ros about her. He blinked a few times, eighteen hours? He'd been awake longer than that. "Sure, come on this way missy." He said jerking his head toward the kitchen and turning to lead the way, he could use some food and tea anyway. "It's Esmay right? Name's Desmond, I'm the one that pulled you out of the cell." He called back as they walked to the kitchen.
"Here's the kitchen, whatever food isn't here is in the storage area by the door. Don't go past the food." Desmond went straight for the teapot and washed it out quickly before starting to brew a fresh pot. "Want some tea?" He asked after he had the pot starting to boil, looking through the remnants of dinner, naturally he'd worked through another meal after he'd left Corvey to be tended too. "You're welcome to any of the leftovers here if you don't wanna cook." He offered, grabbing an apple out of a bowl on the table and started in on his snack.

Esmay's verdant eyes converged on the older man in front of her. He didn't seem to be to old just weathered over the years of doing whatever it was he does. Raid high end corporate building, taking people hostage in a high paced operation, or rescuing young women from god knows what. All in a days work right? Sure if you want to be aged beyond your years. All she really knew is that he was the one that had pulled her out of a very serious situation. "Yes it's Esmay." She let it go that he didn't call her doctor. Normally she expected it, even this time she expected it, after all it was respectful, but seeing as he had saved her she would let it go with out an issue. "I am grateful for what you did for me Desmond, thank you."
Esmay's heel clicked with every step of her feet on the hard cold floor of the ship. When the duo crossed the threshold in to the kitchen she followed him over to the counter and surveyed the options rip for the taking. Esmay wanted to ask him what was behind the food, for the time being though it was best to not worry about that. She just logged it in her memory to look in to at a later point. For now she just simply gave him an understanding nod. "I would love some tea thank you." She made it a point to be polite to the man. It was a habit she should get in to more often though she had never been very good about it in the past.
She looked over the left overs and grabbed only a few small portions of the food. In all honesty she wasn't to hungry, she should have been after eighteen hours of not eating but she still felt sick from the whole ordeal. She looked down at the little solid brown plastic plate. It was a far cry from the nice china and silverware that she had at home. It wasn't that she was ungrateful for having a place that wasn't jail, it was just going to take some getting used to the lower level of living from what she had been accustomed to.
Esmay paraded over to the table and took a seat. the place was far from a fancy mansion but at least there were people around. Esmay had never liked to be alone, even if she wasn't good with social situations she disliked being along more then trying to talk with people. "So Desmond." She paused a moment figuring out what to say. Really she just wanted to make sure he was talking and not leaving her by herself any longer. "What was so important that you rushed in to a build of armed men when the odds of success at such a raid are less then one if four of it being successful?" She would have narrowed the odds more but her limited knowledge of the exact set up of the building or the number of armed men in it that was the best she could do.
"It must have been something of great importance." It was a legitimate question and she had not thought about how that could be an sensitive subject for the crew. She had practiced confidentiality for the alliance before but it never really crossed her mind that she would not be privy to information herself.

"Don't mention it, glad you didn't have to stay there any longer." Dez replied to her thanks, also nodding when she indicated that she wanted some tea. It was old custom to offer jasmine tea to guests wasn't it? Well in any case he liked jasmine tea so that's what he was making. Of course Esmay chose that time to ask him all her questions, the pursuit of knowledge was admirable, but this was knowledge she wasn't privy to. And he wasn't about to be the one to disobey the captain to give her than information. He didn't want his bunk moved to the airlock.
Desmond loaded up a tray with the teapot and cups before carrying it over to Esmay at the table and sitting down. Only after pouring tea for the both of them did he decide to start talking again. "You saw that we pulled a man out of the building with you and took him prisoner. That's all I can say for now." He stated matter of factually, he wasn't going to be the one to go into more detail, if she wanted more she could go talk to the captain. He'd be sure to be present for that conversation and to bring popcorn, that'd be an interesting day.
Dez decided to redirect Esmay's question a bit, "So, what brought you to that cozy little cell I pulled you out off?" He had ran into Ros earlier and learned a little bit about their guest but he still didn't know much. He knew she was a doctor and was researching something to do with bone disease and strengthening bones. But he had been in a rush to go check on the engines at the time and had been unable to stick around for long. Now here he was sitting at a dinner table with her, he should have made more time. Dez leaned his chair back on two legs while she answered, sipping his tea slowly.
After her reply, and after politely covering his apple core with a napkin and setting it on the tray, he asked another question. "Getting used to being on a ship?" Desmond remembered from his first few months in the military that it could sometimes take time to get used to being in space and on ships. Particularly to the sleep schedule when you were more or less in perpetual night. His questions may not have been very good, but what could he say? Dez was not a man for dinner conversation.
