The city of Jong li is territorially known for the seven banks that reside within the cities infrastructure. The population is set apart from the Alliance and Independents, siding with profit. For it, Jong Li and it's surrounding area have achieved economic success throughout wars, plagues, conspiracies, depressions, and overthrown governments. Jong Li is the home of seven major banks of notable principle collateral. Two major loans of history that originated within these companies, were the Independent planet's fund, a loan to the forty eight families who funded the early war efforts. And the Chi Por Por Ta Investment. That is, the money funding efforts to break ground on new worlds for terraforming. Other accounts of interest in this network are the Companion's Guild, all but two of the galaxies credit unions, Mining Unlimited, and Owen Sudutsu, owner of the largest multiservice distribution chains in the galaxy.

Jong Li is a city on the ground as much as it is in buildings. The population can be seen day and night, and though the city has all the modern advantages, vehicles are not legal within the city itself. Many permanent residents gave up automated transportation all together, and rely instead on trains, powered walkways, or a good pair of shoes. Crime is situational to prospective. If you are in one of the seven banks, you are likely standing within twenty feet of cartel, agents of Parliament, trillionairs, and officials. Your money is safer than you are. Security is handled privately both on and off the streets and response time is better than most police forces.

If you receive a job that involves Jong Li, you might want to make sure of two things. One, that it didn't come from here, and two, that you get paid up front.
