Hola. Recently, I've been accepted into the crew that is the Peerless. For those of you that are wondering "who's this bum?" you can reference my profile here: serenitydreaming.proboards.com/thread/1300/charlotte-carterFor those of you nice enough to read through my profile, you've probably noted that Charlotte has assisted with previous Peerless jobs in the past (at least once or twice). Some of you are new additions to the crew, but some have been around for quite some time. For those that have been around the last couple of years, you probably (more than likely) have bumped shoulders with my own character (technically). With that said, I thought it'd be nice to have a little pow-wow and flesh out a proper history between Charlotte and the Peerless crew. Although Charlotte was not a full member at the time, I'm sure a job or two was enough to make a first impression on a few people. So this post is largely in part to develop a rapport between Charlotte and long-time crew members. Correct me if I'm wrong [Roger] but I don't think we even thought up what those past mission were  She is technically a newly created character and will be a new addition to the crew but still, I think this will make things easier for me and for the rest of the crew when we actually start RPing together, and this thread can be a point of reference. |

Yeah, as mentioned above, Charlotte is someone the ship has worked with in the recent past (i.e. since early '81) so pretty much all of the "old" crew should remember her (Vitale, Desmond, Eli, Kalli, Pacifica, etc.). Any "new" crew in the last year likely would not (Lasky, Gunn, Ros, Gavin, etc.).
Carter is a specialist that we would have picked up for two or three jobs in the past. The RP thread to bring her in has stalled a bit (mostly my fault, RL being a bitch this week) but basically we're going to have this job come up, Roger is going to say "how about Carter" and everyone is going to be like "oh yeah, good choice."
Of course personal experiences may vary with how your character got along with her (assuming your character was even on the ship back then) but everyone would know that this is her specialty and she's good at it. I'm sure that such personal feelings about her (e.g. cold hearted bitch, goddamn independent hire and not part of the crew, Oh-em-gee BFFs... the list goes on) can be established or at least brainstormed in this thread.
And no, we haven't specifically detailed any of the past jobs, but that is something we can also do here. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, feel free to talk them out.

Just some thoughts off the top o' the brainpan:
I doubt Lasky would be aware of Carter's past affiliations,
but if he was he'd probably be concerned - although one could
certainly say the same thing about him to some degree. He'll
be a little like "whoa" anyway due to her skillset. Otherwise
Charlie and Lasko are similar in temperament and professionalism.
That commonality could make for interesting stuff. If only they
were better at striking up social interaction eh? xD
