His ablilty to communicate is lacking and because of that he is quiet and callus most of the time. Though when people get to know him they realize he is a fiercely loyal friend. He takes a long time to trust people and never gives people the benefit of the doubt. Sidney has avoided relationships all his life, partially because he can't trust others and partially he felt he needed to be able to leave on a moments notice if he felt the need.

BACKSTORYSidney was born in space aboard his parents ship the Autumn's Pride a smuggling and scavenger ship. Sidney was raised upon the ship with them occasionally hiding out at Haven from any authorities that were searching for them. SI'd new grew up learning the skills of his parents trade. How to use a gun, how to lie, cheat and steal. Sidney was a quick learner becoming quiet proficient at a very young age. It seemed Sidney was destined for a life of smuggling like his parents, but things began to change as he reached his early teens. He saw himself set for grander things. His family and the ships crew had little to show for the life of crime other than a wanted poster across half the verse.
By 14 Sidney left the comforts of the Autumn's Pride and found himself drifting on his own looking for work with his minimal skills. The next several years were rough for Sidney to get himself established, but he did. He found himself in the employment of a group of mercenary fighters.
Several years past and he and the group he was part of found themselves hired to fight in what would become known as the six year war. It was then that Sidney would git his first test of war, fighting from the start of it till the very end.
When the war finally ended there was no time to rest and enjoy the fortunes that had made. A new was had broke out and they found themselves on the side of the common wealth in the war of containment. This time though Sidney would not be there for the whole war instead he departed from the merc group and returned to the only place he ever thought of as home in early 2576.
He had returned when news of Haven being on the brink of war. Haven didn't have much of a military and little to no experience in its ranks. Sidney returned to assist the military in their efforts to fight New Omaha. When the war was over, sid's third war already, he moved on to a different life aboard the firefly class trinity as a drifter doing odd jobs for the captain and crew before in 2578 he departed from the ship on Persephone to buy his own ship.
He bought an old dragonfly class ship named the Chiang Rai. It was an old survey ship that the alliance had abandoned many years back and it sat unused all these years. As Sidney had it fixed up he found the history of the ship. Before being an alliance ship it had been part of the brown coat navy as a blockade runner named Elysium. Sidney decided to return it to its original name and found himself a crew.
Over the years many crew members have come and gone with a few exceptions having been with him for years.
