Elysium, Pacifica's quarters
Pacifica had gone to bed already, nearly two hours ago actually. She had tried to make it an early night, but something was eating at her. It was keeping her from being able to sleep. Pacifica had tossed and turned even trying to take a sleeping pill to help her finally fall asleep. Nothing had worked, so here she was laying there eyes wide at the ceiling. She let others a loud prolonged sigh. "Gorram it Pacifica give it up and go to bed it ain't worth losing sleep over." She said to try and convince herself to sleep.
She pushed herself upright to a sitting position on her bunk. Her hand reached for the desk lamp on her night stand next to her. The light came on filling the room. She sighed again as she slung her legs off the bed and pulled the covers off herself. She looked down at her leg as it throbed and ran her hand over her scars. Her eyes traced up to her hips and stomach examining all the scars that covered her body. A frown crossed over her face as she grabbed a long shirt and covered herself before standing up.
Pacifica wasn't going to get to sleep any time soon, she might as well stop pretending she was. She walked out of her room and down the dimly light hall. She didn't hear anyone else up and moving about, maybe it was just her who couldn't sleep. She peaked in to the bridge, no captain or pilot. They were well off from any planet so no need for anyone to be on stand by. If something did come up the alarm would sound and the captain would be on deck right away.
On her way out from the bridge she stopped at the Captains door and paused, her hand raise and ready to knock. She stopped herself before she did. If he was asleep the last thing he needed was her waking him up. Instead she continued walking and made her way to the crew lounge. The lights were off and no one there either. Pacifica flipped only the light in the kitchen on leaving the rest of the room dim, and she sat down at the main table. "You need to forget about things Pacifica and just go back to bed." She told herself as she looked over at her coffee pot. Maybe that is what she needed.
