Ship Application

Basic Instructions and Notes:

• If the staff is currently not accepting new ships then don't bother applying.
• Captaining a ship is a huge responsibility. Don't apply unless you're willing to put in the work to make your ship a success.
• You can use this application for a skyplex, space station, personal ship (i.e. bounty hunter ship with only 2-3 occupancy), and the like as well. They do not necessarily count toward the ship limits.
• The quotes and instructions in the app are there to spice things up and to direct you respectively. When actually submitting your app, input your information in place of both instructions AND quotes.

Qualifications: Hey, I've been in a firefight before. Well, I was in a fire. Actually, I was fired, from a fry cook opportunity. I can handle myself.
What type of experience does the character have? Previous leadership, technical expertise, numerous contacts, etc.?
Basic Personality and Captaining Style: Captain, why did you come back for us? You're on my crew. Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? You're on my crew. Why're we still talking about this?
How do you envision your character will lead, get along with subordinates, etc.?
How You Ended Up With A Ship: You paid money for this, sir? On purpose?
Some ships are bought, others stolen, some given, and others still are inherited. How did your captain end up with this particular ship? What's the story behind the acquisition (i.e. where'd you get the money to buy it, who gave it to you and why, or what's the story behind the theft of such a vessel).

As much as you know including dimensions, any armament, shuttles or other vehicles, etc. Be as detailed as you can.
Ship Layout: No. Actually, I was wondering... WHAT'S SHE DOING ON THIS SHIP? We're in space! How'd she get here?
This is the place for images of your ship deck as well as any other images you have of the ship, internal or external.

Basic Ship Direction: So, what are we doing? Oh, crime. Crime! Good! Okay! Crime.
What sort of work are you and your crew going to find, and are there any overarching plots you have in mind?
Crew: Tell you, Zoe, we get a mechanic, get her up and runnin' again, hire a good pilot, maybe a cook. Live like real people.
How many crew do you need/want? What positions are there?
Requirements: If it's Alliance trouble you got, you might want to consider another ship. Some on board here fought for the Independents.
Are there any requirements that someone needs to know if they're interested in joining your ship? E.g. posting minimums, weekly activity, alignment (e.g. no Alliance friendly characters), etc.
Ship Boards: Mal, your dead army buddy's on the bridge.
By default all ship boards will be created with a chat & discussion and "welcome to" board - what other sub-boards would you like for your ship? I.e. what are the various locations around the ship that you want boards for?
Other: I like this ship... Serenity... she's good looking.
Is there anything else we need to know about your ship that wasn't covered anywhere else?

Please know that the staff will work with you the best we can to help make your ship a success, however the ship's future and activity depends largely on it's captain. You need to be willing to work together with your crew to do missions, jobs, etc. The staff is here to assist you, not do the work for you. If your ship becomes inactive you may lose it for good.
