Eyes - wide blue-green eyes, most of the time they appear startlingly blue in color, but at others they appear glassy and green like the first leaves of spring.
Unique Features - double piercing in each ear, tattoo.
Dressing Style - She likes glittery, shiny or sparkly dresses, bold colors, and often wears dresses where the backside is the spotlight low backlines or intricate detailing.
Other - Cliona is right-handed.
Likes - Painting her nails, dressing up (that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t like wearing a pair of jeans and letting her hair down but she enjoys wearing fancy dresses and high heels and feeling like a princess). She likes reading, writing, healing, making others at ease, biology, anatomy, kinesiology, every science imaginable, astronomy, animals, plants/herbs, is fascinated by technology. She likes dancing and is very good at salsa and tango. She also likes water in any form, swimming and surfing.
Dislikes - Others ignoring people in need (especially those who are in charge and should be looking out for said people), liars, cheats, cruelty, violence, war, slavery, oppression, she dislikes feeling helpless (though this has happened seeing as she doesn’t really have any fighting skills, unless you hand her a sword).
Quirks/Habits - She plays with her hair when nervous. She tends to blush when embarrassed.
Fears - Losing a patient, and it being her fault, making a mistake. She also fears being tortured or watching her friends getting hurt or being tortured.
Secrets - Cliona is pretty much an open book, she doesn’t have too many dark deep secrets. It isn’t really a secret that she dislikes physical confrontation. It also is quite apparent that she can’t lie to save her life. She secretly loves to act and sing however. Somehow when she is dressed up in a costume and quoting the Bard otherwise known as Shakespeare it is completely fine.
Strengths -
–Her heart and her compassion. Cliona will be the first to help someone down on their luck. Her medical training is also a strength, but it is her compassion that gives her a very good bedside manner.
-Her curiosity and love of learning. She is easily fascinated and amused by life. She is also sensitive to the world’s hardships. Her sensitivity also aids in her bedside manner.
-Brave. She does everything 100% with her heart, most of the time in violent situations involving physical fights she is frightened but has moments of what she likes to call ‘crazy brave,’ others might call courage. She could never kill another human being.
-Integrity. Girl’s go morals and she is not afraid to speak up and put you in your place if you are doing something less than agreeable.
-Charismatic. Cliona isn’t anything if not social and polite. She gets along with everyone and it is very difficult not to fall in love with her upon first meeting. Being mean to her is like hurting a puppy. She is like a ball of sunshine when she walks into a room, and is very endearing.
Weaknesses -
–Her compassion makes her kind and generous but it also makes her easily taken advantage of. She trusts too easily, and wants to believe in the innate goodness of others. Do not mistake her generosity for stupidity however. She may be doe-eyed and naturally curious but she is not a fool.
-She is a healer not a fighter and has very little to no former training. This can make her an easy target. Also being a medic makes her more prone to try and use her words rather than her fists. The only weapon she is learned in is fencing (and it was only for sport never training to actually injure someone that would go against every fiber of her being).
-Wears her heart on her sleeve. Cliona tends to be a sensitive soul. She can get too emotionally invested in her work and her patients.
-She believes in the innate goodness of others. This makes her trust a little too easily perhaps, however it also helps her see the good in people that others do not, sometimes not even themselves.
-Pathologically a terrible liar. She has a million tells that anyone could spot from a mile away.
Talents/Special Abilities - –The nimble and dexterous fingers of an expert surgeon. Cliona was gifted and adept at hand-eye-coordination even as a child, special awareness.
-Good bedside manner. Cliona has a way of making others around her feel comfortable even in the most stressful of situations, easily calm people even when she herself on the inside is terrified.
Aspirations - To help others, to make a difference in the Verse. To make a home for herself with a crew. Eventually to fall in love.
Overall Personality - The epitome of the girl-next-door in many respects Cliona is a charismatic ray of sunshine. She is filled with optimism and can constantly turn someone’s gloomy disposition into a smile with a kind word or humor. She is very intellectual and smart. She loves word games, riddles, and puzzles.
As a woman with a very strong moral compass she keeps everyone in line. If anyone is going off the reservation she is the one who will call them out. Cliona may appear shy, sweet, and demur, and she can be all of those things but she is also a very astute young woman with a fire inside.

Your History - She was always a very precocious young girl and has become a very precocious young woman. Born on the Rim to Craig and Serena McNamara sometimes Cliona feels as though she has spent her entire life pushing that bolder up a mountain. The McNamara family was always scraping by with just enough food to set table each night. They had little in the way of possessions but Cliona had never wanted for more.
Cliona was raised on Beylix, one of the rim planets, and the garbage dump of the Verse. It is known for its scrap yard, Cliona and her family lived on a very small dilapidated farmhouse just outside of town. Every day her father would go into work. Her father was an engineer, he owned his own small mechanics shop in town.
Her brothers Seth, Jacob and Cian played little soldiers as kids. When the war hit her father joined up. Craig was a very passionate Independent and a good soldier having been in the military. Craig rose to the position of Major throughout his time serving in the war and commanded a platoon of men, most of them died. Cliona was still in High School when the war ended. She excelled in all her academic studies, but worried for her father and her brother. Her oldest brother Seth became a tech guy for the Independents in the last few years of the war. Her father was badly injured. Jacob also joined the war as a marine, he had only just gone through basics when he was sent in. Jacob, the beloved son and golden boy of their mother was killed in the final battle.
Serena their mother never recovered from the loss of their son and they said she died of a broken heart a year later. Her father went heavily into the drink when he returned. After the more the most her father did other than drink was join up with some of the Dust Devils missions. Most of the time though Craig was too sauced to do anything. There is no doubt that Cliona is smart. When she was in grade school she skipped a year because she was far beyond her peers. She read constantly on a vast arrange of subjects. When Cliona went off to college she double majored in biology and history. Within her scope of biology she focused most on the body, anatomy, kinesiology, anthropology. The human body was her most favorite organism. She knows pretty much everything there is to know about the Verse. Cliona then went to medical school and received a medical degree. She returned to visit her father when she could, trying her best to keep him away from alcohol to no avail. Seth had become a hacker and now sells his skills out to the highest bidder, so long as you’re not alliance friendly. Cian is basically a criminal and a swindler, he took over their father’s shop and gives people scrap for twice they’re worth. Cian is also a great pickpocket. Cliona doesn’t agree with what either her brothers are doing and tries to help them see sense but it never works.
She went through her first year of residency at St. Lucy’s Hospital on Ariel but knew she wanted to be out in the Verse helping those that couldn’t get to a place like St. Lucy’s and so she left. Her scholarship money and everything else which helped her attend such prestigious schools had run out which had also pushed her to make the decision to find a ship and join a crew. Now Cliona believes she has found a home in the Veritas.

Roleplay Example - Cliona managed her two bags and her medical kit tucked securely under one arm as she walked serenely down the corridor of the Veritas to her destination. Her quarters were a quick stop before she got to the place she really needed to see. Where she was to sleep was merely cursory.
Cliona pushed open the door of her quarters with her hip and gazed around for a moment. It was quite large, something she wasn’t expecting. She smiled and set her things down. “Very nice,” she said to the man before she turned around sharply. “Now would you mind showing me to the medic bay?” she asked politely the excitement and anticipation dancing in her blue-green eyes.
He led her out the door and around the corner. Her quarters and the infirmary were literally sharing a wall. This thrilled her greatly, it would make her job much easier, especially seeing as in her last job on a ship she barely even used her quarters which were quite far away. This would make her stumbling into bed after a long day much easier.
“It is perfect,” she exclaimed matter-of-factly as she glanced around and began shuffling through drawers and things so that she knew her way around. Everything was organized fairly straightforward and simple really.
