Fenrir
The Captain: The dastardly Dempsey brothers are out in the 'Verse, aiming to kick pi gu and chew bubblegum...and they are all out of gum. A pair of organized crime enforcers that specialized in target elimination and wetwork, they eventually went "legitimate" and decided to build their own crew and take advantage of the ludicrous amounts of platinum that people paid to have problems eliminated with extreme prejudice. The older brother, Shane, is the brains of the operation and clearly the more level-headed of the two. The younger brother, Eoghan, is the loose cannon, with a penchant for fire and explosives. He's also the First Mate. They'll take any job that pays well, even bounties, but they won't take anyone alive unless you are willing to pay double for the hassle. They've also got their own code of conduct. It's definitely not chivalry or Bushido.

Tell us about the Ship:
Fenrir is every bit as vicious as her name implies. She was a workhorse during the war, getting in more combat situations than any other Clydesdale and was nearly shot down three times. Somehow, she managed to stay in the air. After the war ended, she seemed designated for the scrap yard, but an enterprising team of slavers and pirates picked her up, patched her up, and had her flying again to terrorize settlers on the Rim.
She spent the next several years doing just that until 2515, when the men decided to make port on Greenleaf to sell off their merchandise, take some liberty, and spend some of their ill-gotten platinum. The captain and crew went to drink to their good fortunes in a bar just off the docks. Liquor flowed freely, spirits got high, and eventually a bar brawl broke out. It was a good natured affair, all in all, but eventually the malefactors all were booted from the establishment.
Two of the people that had been trading lumps with that crew were the Dempsey brothers. Once things had cleared up, they'd all been about to go their separate ways. When the crew was walking back toward their ship (which was in sight), the younger Dempsey happened to notice and ask if it was theirs. For some reason, he fell in love with the scarred, unsightly boat and immediately asked to buy it.
What can be said? He always was the impulsive sort.
The pirates rightly thought him nuts...the ship had been their golden ticket for several years and they weren't about to give it up. Hardly deterred, Eoghan kept insisting. The slavers' humor faded and, eventually, the captain pulled a gun on the younger brother, sticking it in his face and telling him to get lost.
Well, you don't just pull a gun on a Dempsey and expect to get away with it...especially not in front of the other brother. Things went sideways with a quickness and, when the smoke faded, only the Dempseys were left standing. Making the best of a situation, the brothers decided to take it for themselves.
After modifying the slave hold to standard prisoner cells, the ship was everything they needed to get their "private security" crew off the ground. Since then, they've been flying and accepting contracts all over the 'Verse. The crew has changed over the years, people come and go (some voluntarily, some violently), but the Dempsey's stay.
Technical Information:
The "Fenrir" is an old Clydesdale-class gunboat. During the Unification war, they were a common sight above the battlefield for the Independents, quickly moving troops, supplies, and firepower to where it was needed. Though it performs well enough in space, this dependable workhorse was designed for atmospheric agility. The heavy thrusters allow for powerful acceleration while the rotating engine pods greatly increase maneuverability and allow for enhanced VTOL operation.
The ship has a decent armament, barely passing legality thanks to their ostensible position as "private security contractors" sanctioned by the Alliance. This includes two laser turrets, one on the top of the Operations area and one below, that are controlled within the Ops Center. She also has two wing mounted rocket pods with the heaviest ordnance allowed for civilian operations. Straight firing dumb rockets, these can be controlled by the pilot or by a designated gunner in the flight deck.
The ship cannot hold a shuttle, but it is outfitted with two four-person emergency life pods.
Plot Development: The Fenrir is a mercenary ship that barely travels the line of legality. It's available to the highest bidder, be it corporate, Alliance, or otherwise. If you need someone dead, they'll make them dead. If you've got a preference how, that'll cost extra, but it can happen. If you looked up "wretched hive of scum and villainy" in the phone book, you'd find their address. Anyone who wants to be a part of the crew needs to have moral consistency of play dough or at least be willing to suck it up for good money and entertaining drinking partners. There are too many friendly people in the 'Verse. The Fenrir aims to even the balance a little.
Crew:
Captain
First Mate

People that aren't afraid to rough it up or use a gun are preferred, but not strictly necessary if they've got the right skill sets. Thin-skinned lilly-livers need not apply. Passengers aren't likely without good reason, unless you are part of the job. Let's just say that passenger accomodations are exactly five-star.

Please know that the staff will work with you the best we can to help make your ship a success, however the ship's future and activity depends largely on it's captain. You need to be willing to work together with your crew to do missions/jobs..etc. The staff is here to assist you, not do the work for you. If your ship becomes inactive you may loose it, for good.
