Dressing Style - It's hard to say whether Eoghan doesn't have an eye for fashion, or if he just doesn't care. Either way, he's not exactly on the verge of cutting edge fashion. His steel-toed boots are always scuffed up. It's rare that a pair of pants don't have patching, a hole in the knee, or are otherwise less than perfect. If he could wear a T-Shirt every day he would, and often does. His favorite one is a simple shirt. It used to be black, but has since faded into a stained, off-grey. The front of it says "EOD: Explosive Ordnance Disposal" and the back says "If you are reading this and I am running, try to keep up." He also has one scuffed, faded, and much loved leather jacket that wears.
Other - He's a very scruffy individual. His hair is usually wild and looks like he just rolled out of bed (probably because he has). He's tried to grow out a bit of a goatee and moustache, but he only really tends to it once in a while when he happens to think about it. Therefore, he's usually got a shadow of a beard along his jaw as well.
Other -
The rest of his "family":
His Shotgun
His Pistol
For Close Encounters
His Compass
Likes - Drinking, Fire, Explosives, Bar Fights, Women, Partying, Getting Paid, Respect, Family, Puppies
Dislikes - Authority Figures (that aren't paying), Duds, Slavers, Hangovers, People That Don't Hold Up Their End of the Bargain, Disrespect/Being Looked Down On, Anyone People Messing With His Brother, Morning People, Non-alcoholic Beer (Seriously... someone was a bit whimsical in the brain pan on that one. Defeats the gorram point!)
Quirks/Habits - Eoghan is rarely not moving. He has a hard time standing still, so he's always doing something. If he's trying to be still, he tends to fidget or do something else because he simply cannot remain motionless. He also has a penchant for giving people nicknames. This is really prevalent with women. He's almost pathologically unable to call a woman by her name. It's not intentional...he simply doesn't realize he's doing it. Even if he did, well...then you'd have to get him to start caring.
Fears - Losing or being separated from his brother
Secrets - He knows what happened to their parents, but has never told Shane
Strengths - Technically savvy, quick thinker, willpower
Weaknesses - Short-tempered, impulsive, usually easily distracted
Talents/Special Abilities -
Excellent with Explosives - The man has had a love for things that go boom for almost as long as he can remember. If you can make something blow up, he knows how. Most times, you don't even have to ask him to show you how.
Exceptional Fortitude - It takes a lot to put the man down, be it at a bar or in a fight. The man can hold his liquor. Despite his lean build, he can drink enough to put most others under the table and still be able to put together a bomb with steady hands. In a fight, especially when he's riled up, blows that would send most off to la la land will just piss him off. The only way around it is to catch him flat-footed before he has a chance to get worked up.
Perceptive of His Surroundings - One upside to having an rather exceptional case of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is that he is always looking at EVERYTHING. It has actually allowed him to be very perceptive of the things around him, catching things that other miss because they aren't paying attention. It makes him better than average when it comes to finding things or people.
Aspirations - Make cheddar, enjoy life, and run rampant across the 'Verse with his brother.
Overall Personality - Eoghan lives up to his nickname. He's got a very explosive personality. "Frenetic" is apt description for him. If he'd been raised up like a common child, he would have been diagnosed with a very strong case of ADHD. As that never happened, he was simply seen as a problem child..."precocious", if someone was being very generous. "Hellion" was the more common term. It was never easy to keep his attention and, while intelligent, things bored him easily. He has an addictive personality, always looking for something to stimulate him and keep his attention. Fire was one such thing...eventually, explosives became another. He's all but obsessed with how to make things go "boom".
He also can't help but enjoy knocking down a few, okay, a lot, of drinks, when he can. He likes the atmosphere of bars, because they are usually filled with activity and, more often than not, he can find a reason to get into a tussle. There are only a few things better to him than knocking about a few heads to let off some steam now and again.
Family is everything to him...and he only has one. He is blindly devout to his brother. He's the only one that can get Eoghan to calm down and pretty much the only one that the younger brother listens to without good, solid, monetary reasons.
He's impulsive...never one to think about the second and third order effects of most of his decisions. If he wants to do something, he'll most likely do it unless a gorram good reason not to comes up. He's also like a powder keg...with a keen Irish temper that's ready to go off at the slightest spark. This happens when someone disrespect him, looks down on him, or messes with his drink. This is especially true if his brother is involved. He'll bring down the wrath of hell on anyone that goes against his brother.
He isn't without a certain sort of morality, however. He'll never take a job against women and children. He won't blow up a room of people just to get one person. If he gives you his word, he'll keep it to his dying breath, unless you break your word first. Then he'll strap C4 to your john and make sure you have a really crappy day.

Your History -
Shane and Eoghan Dempsey were born in less than auspicious circumstances. Their parents, Billy and Niamh, were mudders. They were so deeply indebted in their servitude that they had no hope of ever getting out. In fact, it was so bad, their debt was guaranteed to be transferred to their children.
There reached a point where this was simply not tolerable to the couple. They wanted a better life for their children. They didn't want them to be beholden to this unfilling, degrading life. So, when the boys were 4 & 5 respectively, they made their play to escape.
Fortune was with them. They managed to make it off planet and all the way to Haven, hoping it's name would prove true. For a time, it seemed it would. Billy became a janitor and Niamh volunteered at the local Abbey, who helped support them with a stipend from the collection for her work. The Shepherds even helped provide education for the brothers.
Unfortunately, luck doesn't last forever. Two years later, they were tracked down by a team of headhunters. The team was getting paid to bring them back so they could be made examples of to quell the unrest from the other mudders. Tagged and bagged, they were dragged off while the boys were in the Abbey at school.
Orphaned, the boys became part of the church, who took them in and did the best they could to care for them. They gave them shelter, they gave them food, they tried to enlighten them with learning. They even managed to learn several languages. Unfortunately...statistics are statistics for a reason. It was only a matter of time before the boys started running with the wrong crowd. By the time Eoghan was ten, they were running around with kids from an organized crime family that ran half the smuggling and criminal enterprises on the planet.
Their font of higher learning became the streets. Boosting vehicles, breaking and entering, every minor crime known...escalating as they went and gained more experience. Their usefulness was seen by an Underboss, who took them in, helped formalize the learning. By the time they were legally adults, they'd graduated to full on muscle for the Family. With Shane's calculative skills and talent with a long rifle and Eoghan's penchant for mayhem and high explosives, they wreaked havoc and were instrumental in strengthening the Family's position over the next three years.
However...all was not well. Even though they were brought in to the Family, they were not treated like full members of it. They were still outsiders...Orphans. They always would be. By 2015, when Shane was 22 and Eoghan 21, they realized this. The lack of respect, after all they had done, was too much. If they weren't going to be family, then they had no reason to stay. So they didn't.
Simply put, they up and left, deciding to use their skills to get some of that lucrative money you could find in "private security". Making their way to Greenleaf, they happened into a bar near the docks for some drinks. Things got rowdy. One thing lead to another and a brawl broke out. Once it was finally settled, the brothers and others were booted out. Everyone was about to go their separate ways when Eoghan happened to see the ship that one particular group of guys, a crew, was going back to. Now, earlier on, the brothers had learned that the crew was a group of pirates and slavers. Now, given their history and the basic slavery that their parents had tried to flee from, the boys had never been fond of that particular trade. It was half the reason the bar brawl had happened in the first place.
However, Eoghan saw their ship and fell in love. He was willing to let bygones be bygones, but he wanted the ship. Now, the boys had saved up a good amount during their time with the Family, so money to buy it wasn't an issue. He made the offer and the slavers laughed in his face. Their humor dropped when he kept insisting and they realized that he wasn't joking. Tensions got high and, eventually, the Captain pulled a gun on Eoghan and told him to kiss off in no uncertain terms. Well...they made one mistake. You never pull a gun on a Dempsey, especially not when the other brother was there as well.
When the smoke cleared...the slavers were dead. Not wanting to waste an opportunity, or a perfectly good ship, the boys took control of it, had the ID changed, and christened her "Fenrir". Then, getting a crew of their own together, they started their business and have spent the last five years working and playing hard. They've even taken a couple of Alliance jobs that have paid well and given them bonuses, such as true legitimacy and the ability to arm their ship heavier than your average civilian could legally do. They now ply their trade to the highest bidder.

Roleplay Example - "Wha' do ye mean it's nae surgical? Two bricks o' C4, one hundred pounds o' fertilizer, an' a pager. Simple, yet sophisticated. It's downright poetry in an incendiary package. Mix in a couple ball bearings an' ye got one tasty lil cake, Sweetheart. Tha' takes skill an' precision tae put together!" They'd spent the last hour trying to determine the method with which they were going to take out the target that was at the center of Taliah's operation, the one that she'd hired them on for. The last forty-five minutes of it had been taken up with her and Shane explaining the finer points of "surgical strike" to the younger Dempsey brother.
When she refuted his idea yet again, he scowled, leaning back sullenly in his chair and crossing his arms over his chest, pouting a little. "Y'all Purple-bellies ain't got nae imagination, Pumpkin." He finally spoke up again, pointing a finger at her before he reached for the bottle of whiskey, eschewing a glass and instead tipping the bottle up to his lips. Slapping it back down firmly onto the table, he at last relented when Shane gave him "the look". "Fine...fine. I'm just sayin'...yer makin' this a whole lot harder than it needs tae be."
He listened as the pair worked out the particulars of the mission, actually inputting some good information about getting through their perimeter security. He wasn't too shabby at lockpicking, but if worse came to worse, he offered to rig up some simple, minute charges to blow out the door locking mechanisms, which were agreed to.
Pleased that his particular area of expertise was, at last, given the recognition it deserved, he leaned forward on his elbows and paid more attention.
