Okay, this has been talked about all over. Let's put all our ideas out here and decide on something concrete.
My thoughts - Originally written as a PM reply but I think you guys can decipher it.
Well, the only concern with accepting her willingly is the nature of Peerless's visit to Santo. Basically, the mission involves the death of a wealthy business man and the head of his security detail, a somewhat well connected man in Cobalt (the PMC Marcus Lee is a part of). So that means 1) we're getting out of there ASAP and I frankly don't imagine there being time for her to run up to the ship, talk to the captain, etc. and 2) there is no way in hell they'd want to pick up anything else that would further lead the Feds onto their tail.
That basically leaves us with her stowing away as our only option. She is running from the Feds (perhaps literally with Feds hot on her heels) when she passes the Peerless. She sneaks aboard and stowsaway. Roger and the others come back aboard after their mission and are quick to takeoff rather than actually checking to see if there is a fugitive hiding behind crates in the cargobay.
Now, she can either be discovered once they're in the air or she can come forward on her own and show herself once they're off world. However it works, Roger's not just going to kill her or anything and there is absolutely no way they are going to turn around and go back to Santo. She pleads, gives her sob story, and offers the money. They're of course pissed by the deception but they accept.
They take her where ever (conveniently the same direction we were going to head anyway) and drop her off. She finds out her uncle got nabbed and now she needs to get away from here too plus she has nowhere else to turn. She runs back to the Peerless at the dock and asks to be taken back board. The initial response is "no" since they don't want a fugitive aboard, even a paying one. Then she talks about helping aboard the ship, etc. etc. and somehow she mentions in her credentials about the specific Bio-Med group she was a part of. Someone, maybe Vitale, then pipes up because he's heard of them. They've got connections to Cobalt, thus Marcus Lee, thus she might actually be valuable to the mission.
